Health and Other Datasets Directory

Amy Tilbrook from eDRIS (research safe haven) put kindly together for UBDC a document, which describes various health data sources, and links them to their metadata. In NHS Scotland every individual who registers is given Community Health Index (CHI) number. This allows then further linkage across various health datasets. This document will be useful for researchers who are interested in available Scottish NHS data. Some of these datasets span an individual’s whole life health record – from before birth, through to that individual’s death.
